Pilates is a safe, effective and balanced exercise system developed by the late Joseph Pilates (1883-1967) It is suitable for all ages and abilities and is based on corrective exercise, building balance from deep within, through a series of flowing controlled mindful movements, progressing to the more challenging advanced Classical series. Depending on your needs, your Instructor will guide you through an individually tailored programme, encouraging you to learn, adapt and challenge yourself.
There are Three levels of Instruction
Private Tuition (1-1)
This is recommended if you are recovering from injury or surgery or have not practiced any Pilates before. How long you may need Private tuition is decided between you and your Instructor.
Studio Equipment Sessions
A small group session of no more than 4, working with specialist Pilates equipment to your own individual programme. Very Flexible and can be booked as needed.
Group Matwork classes
Small groups of upto 12, a general movement class based on improving common imbalances. Beginners through to advanced classes available. classes are booked on a half term or full term (discounted) basis.
Taster classes are held Half termly to Introduce you to the basics and find the most suitable class for you. If you can't attend a taster class and you haven't practiced Pilates before a 1-1 is recommended.
